Small World

A new student joined our Norwegian class today, and guess where she is from? Iowa!!! What a small world! She isn't a Hawkeye like me, she is a Cyclone from Iowa State University, but I think we can handle the rivalry amicably!

It's a small world after all. (No, no need to thank me for that earworm. All yours.)

That's great! Where is this person from in IA?

As for skiing, we just bought new ski parks, ski pants, and gloves for our CO trip...I am so excited to hit the slopes soon.

That must be a treat. The closest I've been to having someone from the "neighborhood" was a woman that came to Norway from Texas to marry a Norwegian.

I guess we Prairie folk and Southerners have to stick together. ;)

Keera, thanks, your earworm replaced the latest Nelly Furtado song that is played on the radio every 10 minutes and that I just can't get out of my head..."why must all good things come to an end?"
Kari, she is from Carroll, so up north, not too far from good ol' Mason City. Have fun skiing!
Tim, I am still shocked, what are the odds of 2 different people from a small state like Iowa moving to a town of 30,000 in Norway? I'm very happy about it--not only do I have someone who will understand everything I say (I talk really fast!) but she even knows that Coke and Pepsi are pop, not soda! Woo hoo! Emily
